We are sooooo excited to announce our Spring Concert - Motown! It's going to be a spectacular show!!!!

Before we get into the detailed information about our shows, please know that the entire week leading up to the show is full of important and exciting activities. We DO NOT hold classes the week of concert due to holding a banquet and our required dress rehearsal. The LAST week of classes will be April 22nd-26th. The last week of rehearsal is extremely important! All the teachers will go over bows for the show and make any necessary last minute changes. If your dancer misses they may not be in the final bow, and or miss very important info to feel prepared for our once a year show. Please remember that if your dancer misses the last week of classes before our big performance they will be charged a $25 fee for missing (We understand there are unforeseen circumstances, so please reach out ASAP if your dancer needs to miss).

MoTown Concert WEEK Info: 

 

Wednesday May 1st - Premier End of Year Banquet 

​

YOU are invited! Parents, dancers and family members are welcome! We will be doing an end of year banquet to celebrate our amazing year. We will give out awards, watch some special performances, re-live some memories, AND eat dinner together. This year we are having our meal catered. We will be served a pasta and salad dinner, which includes yummy drinks, sides AND dessert. It will be $10 per person to cover the cost of the venue and dinner. To help our cater with numbers, we need everyone to register and pay by April 24th.

Location: High Mark Charter School (2467 E South Weber Dr, South Weber, UT 84405)

Time: Doors open at 5:30pm & Dinner/Show starts at 6pm

Thursday May 2nd - Premier Dress Rehearsal 4-8:30pm at Premier Ballroom Academy

 

We will be holding a dress rehearsal from 4-8:30pm at the studio (Pee Wee Performance and Special Needs will be excused at 5pm) Since this is only a dress rehearsal dancers DO NOT need to come with hair and makeup done. Please send them with a sack lunch and snacks so they have a chance to eat something during the rehearsal. Holding this rehearsal is VERY important. It helps the dancers learn transitions from piece-to-piece AND helps our "quick changers" that dance in multiple groups figure out their timing. 


 

Saturday May 4th - Motown Spring Concert at Christian Life Center 

 

Special Notes about concert: 

  • Every family (immediate family members please!) receives a total of 6 tickets to use between two concerts (For example: You can choose to put all 6 tickets towards one show, OR split your 6 tickets between two shows any way you would like). Please fill out our ticket form no later than April 19th. If you wait too long you risk the chance of not getting the show you would like to attend. Schedule for Dancers: 

​

8:30am - Theater Arts, Preteen Gold, Jr. Advanced All girls, & Jr. Gold arrive to get ready for Elementary Ballroom Performance. The Elementary Ballroom Performance will take place 9:30-10:15am. 

​

9am - ALL other dancers are dropped off 100% ready (Hair and Makeup DONE!) at the Christian Life Center (Parents are NOT allowed to wait for the show to start. Sorry for the inconvenience!). 

 

10:30am - Doors open for the first show 

 

11am - FIRST SHOW

​

***We would like to do a Pizza Party between the two shows. Please send $2 per dancer to help cover the pizza and drinks. We recommend you send your dancers with snacks and a water bottle. 

 

1:30pm - Doors open for second show 

 

2pm - SECOND SHOW

​

***Dancers will be excused after the second show once their teams costumes have been put away, and their area picked up. We expect to be done, cleaned up and ready to load costumes at 5/5:30pm.

Note for Senior Dancers/Parents:

​

We are so excited to celebrate your seniors! Each year we set up a display table at the Banquet AND Concert to celebrate our seniors. You can set out pictures, achievements in dance or other activities/hobbies, and anything else you feel would help celebrate them. 

​

Please bring your display to the banquet and plan on setting it up from 5:00-5:30pm.
