All students have an annual $45 registration fee to participate each season (August-May for competition students, and September-May for recreation students). Parents are welcome to pay class tuition monthly OR annually (those who choose to pay for the season up front will receive a discount). Please examine our tuition document to determine your dancer's monthly/semester tuition.

Premier Ballroom Teams & Classes
Premier has a robust ballroom program with class and team opportunities for dancers of all ages!
Medley Teams
Premier Medley teams are for dancers who enjoy learning very competitive choreography, and are invited to participate by audition only. We offer a Pre-Teen (4th-6th grade), Junior (7th-9th grade), and Youth (10th-12th grade) Medley Team experience at Premier. Students learn two medley routines (Latin & Standard) and 1-3 show dance routines throughout the season that they compete and perform.
Showcase Competition Teams
Premier Showcase Competition teams are perfect for our K-12 beginner and intermediate dancers who enjoy performing and competing their ballroom show dance routines. Students are invited to participate by audition. We offer showcase competition teams for all ages: Pee Wee (K-3rd grade), Pre-Teen (4th-6th grade), Junior (7th-9th grade), and Youth (10th-12th grade). These teams consist of Ballroom Teams with both gents and ladies that dance partnered up and All Ladies Teams with ladies that dance ballroom-esque choreography solo. Please see our Tuition document to see how many hours each team rehearses.
Performance Teams
Premier Performance teams are perfect for our K-12 beginner dancers who enjoy learning in a low-stress environment with performance opportunities throughout the year. These teams are open enrollment. We offer a Pre-Teen (4th-6th grade) Performance team and a Junior High/High School (7th-12th grade) Performance team. Please see our Tuition document to see how many hours each team rehearses.

Petite Emeralds Jazz Competition Team
Ages 8-11 / 3rd-6th Grade

Our Beginner Competition Jazz Dance Team is perfect for dancers new to the competitive scene and eager to showcase their skills. This exciting program introduces young dancers to the fundamentals of competitive jazz, focusing on building a strong technical foundation and developing stage presence. Students will learn energetic routines that emphasize precision, expression, and teamwork. Through rehearsals and competitions, they will gain valuable experience, confidence, and the thrill of performing. This supportive team environment encourages growth, camaraderie, and a love for dance. Open registration means there are no auditions required—everyone is welcome to join and start their competitive journey!

Petite Emeralds Jazz Competition Team Requirements:
- Participate in both the weekly team rehearsal and team Jazz/Ballet/Acro technique class -
- Compete with the team at two or more local jazz competitions throughout the season -
- Participate in the December Festival of Trees and Senior Living Center performances -
- Perform at the end of year concert in May 2026 -

Jazz Performance Teams
Ages 7-17 / 2nd-12th Grade

Our Jazz I & Jazz II dance teams combine contemporary and classic jazz techniques in a high-energy setting. Dancers will build a strong technical foundation, enhance performance skill, and gain confidence. Both teams will perform at the Festival of Trees in December and in our May Spring Concert.

Jazz I (Ages 7-13 yrs):

Our Jazz I Performance team is ideal for those who have participated in our Rubies classes. In this class students will learn dynamic movements, sharp and fluid combinations, and expressive choreography. It is recommended for Jazz I students to also take the Jazz/Ballet/Acro Combo Technique class held right before the Jazz I class meets.

Jazz II (Ages 12-17yrs):
Tuesdays 4:00pm - 5:00pm

Our Jazz II Performance team is ideal for those who have participated in our Jazz I class. It is required for those participating in Jazz II to also take the Jazz/Ballet/Acro Combo Technique class that is held immediately following the Jazz II class. Jazz II will focus on improving flexibility, strength, coordination, and rhythm, while encouraging individual expression and style.

Jazz/Ballet/Acro Combo Technique Class
Ages 10-17 yrs

Our Jazz/Ballet/Acro Combo Technique class is a technique class that does not participate in a formal performance setting. As ballet is essential to the fundamentals of all dance forms, this class will include barre and center work. Additionally, dancers will learn the correct French terminology that forms the basic language for Jazz & Ballet. This class will also focus on the fundamentals of Jazz technique as well as learn some Acrobatic dance. Each semester, students will showcase their progress in a festive in-studio performance, first in December and again in April.

Funk Hip Hop Crew Performance Team
Ages 9-15 / 4th-9th Grade

Our Funk Hip Hop class is designed to energize and inspire young dancers with a passion for rhythm and style. This high-energy class focuses on hip hop techniques, including sharp movements, dynamic footwork, and creative choreography. Students will work on developing strong musicality, coordination, and confidence while learning to express themselves through various hip hop styles. This class incorporates the latest dance trends and music, ensuring a fun and engaging experience that keeps dancers motivated and excited. Perfect for dancers who love to move and groove, this class offers a supportive environment where they can build skills and showcase their talent. Dancers on this crew will have the opportunity to perform at the end of each dance semester.

Premier Littles Classes
Our Premier Rubies Littles classes are the perfect way to get started in the dance world!
Little Rubies Classes
Ages 5-7 yrs

Our Little Rubies classes are designed for our students ages 5 to 7 years old. We offer both Combo Dance classes and Acro & Tumbling classes. Students in both classes will showcase their progress at the end of each semester in a festive in-class performance.

Little Rubies Combo Dance Classes:
This fun and exciting ballet, jazz, and creative dance class keeps the creativity flowing! Children will learn foundational ballet techniques, including basic positions, posture, and movements. They will be introduced to jazz dance, focusing on energetic steps, rhythms, and coordination. The creative dance segment encourages imaginative expression and improvisation, helping children explore movement and storytelling. Throughout the class, students will develop musicality, flexibility, strength, and rhythm, while building confidence and enjoying the joy of dancing.

Little Rubies Acro/Tumbling Classes:
Premier Ballroom & Dance Academy is now a certified Acrobatic Arts studio! Acrobatic Arts is an internationally recognized program that certifies teachers in AcroDance, prioritizing safety and quality for dancers. This program focuses on five key categories: Flexibility, Strength, Balance, Limbering, and Tumbling. AcroDance blends dance styles with the artistry of acrobatics and tumbling, helping dancers of all ages refine their talents. Dancers will learn age-appropriate skills such as front rolls, cartwheels, handstands, front & back walkovers, and inspiring tricks, with progressions throughout the season.

Our Tiny Rubies classes are designed for our students ages 3 to 5 years old. We offer combined Combo Dance/Acro classes for our littlest dancers. Our Tiny Rubies will showcase their progress at the end of each semester in a festive in-class performance.

Tiny Rubies Combo Dance/Acro Classes:
This class is an excellent way for children to gain self-confidence, listening and learning skills. Dancers will develop strength, dance technique, rhythm, and body awareness through this 45-minute class that will inspire creativity, teach coordination, and introduce the fundamentals of dance.
