​Premier Medley teams are for dancers who enjoy learning and competing very challenging choreography. For the 2025-26 dance season we offer a Pre-Teen/Elementary School (4th-6th grade), a Junior/Junior High School (7th-9th grade), and a Youth/High School (10th-12th grade) Medley Team experience. Students on these teams learn and compete/perform two medley routines (Latin & Standard) and 1-3 show dance routines throughout the dance season.

Team Requirements:

- Participate in weekly team rehearsals/syllabus technique classes -

- Compete with team at various local ballroom competitions throughout the season -

- Compete in a Syllabus or Open event at any three ballroom competitions during the season -

- Participate in team Summer July Technique classes & August Boot Camp -

- Participate in the December Festival of Trees & Senior Living Center performances -

- Participate in Premier's annual Medals Exams at the end of the dance season -

-Perform in the end of year concert in May 2026 -

Monthly Tuition: $165/month

Annual Registration Fee: $45 for family's first dancer/$20 for each additional dancer

Annual Team Costume Fee: $200 - due August 5th

Pre-Teen Medley Gold Important Dates:

Summer Technique Classes: July 8th - August 1st

Premier will be holding a four week summer technique class session on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from July 8th to August 1st. ALL dancers on Showcase Competition and Medley teams are required to register for and participate in at least one Latin and one Standard class, but are welcome to sign up for more.

Showcase Competition & Medley Teams Boot Camp: August 4th - August 8th

ALL dancers on a Showcase Competition or Medley team are required to participate in the August boot camp. This is where dancers begin to learn their competition choreography and get a head start on the competition season.

​

Mandatory Saturday Rehearsal for ALL Teams: Saturday, August 23rd

All teams will be holding a 2-3 hour rehearsal on this day. Schedule TBA.

Mandatory Parent Meeting: Saturday, September 6th

All parents of dancers in a Showcase, Medley, and/or Performance team should plan on being present at the August parent meeting. This is where parents receive important information for the year and have the opportunity to participate in discussions and decision-making, including determining potential tour options for June 2026. The meeting will be held at Premier in Studio 2.

Studio Kick Off Pizza Party: Saturday, September 6th

All studio dancers are invited to participate in our kick off pizza party! This is a great opportunity for families to get to know each other and participate in some fun activities. Time and location will be announced later in the summer.

Competitions & Performances: Various

In addition to performances, the Pre-Teen Medley Gold team will be competing in 4-5 competitions throughout the dance season. The final competition schedule will be given at the parent meeting in September.

Synergy DanceSport Festival: January 2026

Premier partners with the Simply Youth Ballroom program to produce the Synergy DanceSport Festival that will be held in January 2026. This competition serves as a fundraiser for the Youth tour and those that participate in helping organize and run this event will have a portion of the money generated from the competition applied toward their tour fee in the form of a scholarship. Dancers will both participate by competing in the competition as well as helping fill volunteer slots to help the event run.

Medals Exams: April 2026

All medley and showcase team dancers that would like to perform in the end of year concert are required to participate in Medals Exams. Medals Exams are where Premier brings in an outside judge that will observe the student's dancing (typically using syllabus choreography) and give personalized feedback and a score based on that student's performance.

​

End of Year Awards Banquet: April 29, 2026 (tentative)

All dancers and their families are invited to attend the Premier end of year awards banquet. This banquet will include a catered dinner.

Spring Showcase Dress Rehearsal: April 30, 2026 (tentative)

All dancers who will be performing in the end of year will be expected to join in this dress rehearsal.

​

Spring Concert: May 2, 2026 (tentative)

Every year Premier holds an end of year spring concert at the beginning of May. This is the perfect opportunity for your family to see your dancer perform in a theater/recital setting, complete with lighting and staging. During the week of the Spring Concert, there is an end of year awards banquet, a dress rehearsal, and the performance day. We have tentatively booked West Field High School as our performance venue for the 2026 Spring Concert.

Youth Tour: Spring/Early Summer 2026

The Premier youth tour is optional and all youth age dancers (10th-12th grade) are invited to participate. More information will be forthcoming.

Ladies Amethyst Showcase Competition Team

(4th - 8th Grade)

Premier’s Showcase Competition Ballroom teams are perfect for beginner to advanced dancers who enjoy performing and competing Showdance choreography. We offer both partnered ballroom Showcase teams (gents/ladies) and ladies only Showcase teams in all age groups. All dancers in partnered competition teams are required to participate in a weekly syllabus technique class in addition to their regular team rehearsals. Individual competition is not required for this team, but is highly encouraged. Dancers in our all ladies teams will not be partnered/learn the leader part. Instead they will receive a unique experience of blended solo/team choreography.

These dancers rehearse for one hour a week, do not compete, and are not required to take a syllabus technique class (although that is an option for those who would like to). Davis County School District Closure Dates:

Premier follows the Davis County School District holiday schedule when determining studio closures/class cancellations. The schedule for those holidays is as follows:

September 1, 2025: Labor Day

October 16-17, 2025: Fall Break

November 26-28, 2025: Thanksgiving Break

December 22, 2025 - January 5, 2026: Winter Break

January 19, 2026: Martin Luther King Jr Day

February 16, 2026: Presidents' Day

March 30 - April 3, 2026: Spring Break

In addition to the dates above, Premier reserves the right to close the studio/cancel classes due to severely inclement weather (we try to prioritize the safety of our dancers and teachers whenever possible).

Syllabus & Open Ballroom Competition Rounds

NEW THIS YEAR!!! Designed for our competitive ballroom dancers of all skill levels, this class will focus on running competition rounds, with a special emphasis on performance and conditioning. Instructors for this class will rotate between several of our accomplished staff members. Dancers that are interested in joining this class may enroll as a regular student for $35/month or may participate on a drop-in basis for $15/class.

Class Requirements:

- Be a competitive ballroom dancer of any level -

Fridays 5:00pm - 6:00pm

Ballroom Competition Rounds Class Fees:

Monthly Tuition: $35/month OR $15/class for drop-in students

Annual Registration Fee: $45 for family's first dancer/$20 for each additional dancer â€‹
